When I picked up travelers at the airport who had never explored Charleston, I confidently offered them a quick tour of the historic downtown. I shared captivating stories about Charleston's rich history, pointed out remarkable architectural features, and highlighted fascinating locals who once called those houses home, all while recommending some of the best restaurants downtown.
